EXERCISE-Apply Spirit of the Wolf and get into a meditative state. It is a hot summer day. Picture yourself in a clearing deep in a forest. As you stand there you feel the sun warm on your face. You slowly walk into the forest. Once you enter the woods you feel the temperature drop and it becomes cool and inviting. You can smell the scent of evergreens and the pungent scent of moss and the fertility of the ground. You stand there for a few moments relaxing and taking in the beauty of the woods. You ask your higher power to allow you to meet your animal totem. Only your totem will see you and interact with you. There is no fear as you move forward. Pine needles crunch under your feet, birds alight on nearby branches to feed their young. You remove your shoes and feel the spongy moss underfoot. In the distance you see a dark shape moving through the trees toward you. You stand and wait for your totem to come to you. Observe all that your totem does or says. When you have journeyed long enough, thank your totem for the honor of its company. Slowly retrace your steps until you arrive back in the clearing. Reflect on what has been shown you and record it in your journal.
